Participation at U-space Stakeholder Meeting, Brussels, 31 January 2025
On 31 January 2025, the U-space Stakeholder Meeting at EUROCONTROL Headquarters in Brussels brought together key actors from across Europe to exchange insights and practical experiences related to U-space implementation. The event placed particular emphasis on drone operations in the maritime port sector, with case studies from major European ports including Antwerp & Bruges, Rotterdam, and Hamburg.
One of EUSOME’s partners, the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence of the University of Cyprus (UCY), attended the meeting to gain first-hand insights into real-world coordination efforts and the evolving landscape of drone traffic management. The event also provided an excellent opportunity to connect with stakeholders active in Integrated Airspace Management (IAM) and Integrated Aerial Services (IAS).
These discussions contribute to ongoing efforts across Europe to develop scalable, safe, and integrated U-space services — a key enabler for future drone operations in complex environments.
