2nd Plenary Meeting in Patras, Greece, 8–9 October 2025
The 2nd Plenary Meeting of the EUSOME Project was successfully held in Patras, Greece, on 8–9 October 2025, hosted by the Athena Research Center – Institute of Industrial Systems at the University of Patras.
The meeting brought together all project partners to review progress, discuss technical developments, and plan upcoming activities.
During the first day, the technical partners presented their ongoing work on the EUSOME vehicle prototypes, including the integration of sensors and the development of algorithms that will enable higher levels of autonomy.
The second day focused on regulatory aspects related to the adoption of U-space in the Southeast Mediterranean region, along with updates on communication and dissemination activities achieved so far and those planned for the next period.
An important highlight of the meeting was the presentation by Dr. Constantinos Dovrolis on the establishment of the AI Ethics Board, which will oversee the ethical and human-centric aspects of the project’s autonomous components.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks from Prof. George Ellinas, Project Coordinator from the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus, who summarized the key outcomes and outlined the next steps towards the realization of the project’s objectives.
